Presbyterian Women is an independent organization within the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.  We offer women in the church meaningful ways to live out their faith in the midst of a caring community of women.
We commit ourselves:

To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible Study
To work for justice and peace
To support the mission of the church worldwide
To build an inclusive and caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom

Presbyterian Women of the Arcata First Presbyterian Church meet for a potluck lunch on the first Wednesday of every month.  On the second Wednesday of each month there is a book group meeting to snack on treats and discuss novels or you may attend the monthly Bible study meeting.

The group provide many important services.  They manage a thrift shop at the church two afternoons a week.  From the income generated through the thrift shop, monthly contributions are made to the Arcata House Partnership and St. Vincent De Paul.  The Presbyterian Women assist in providing needed furnishings for our sanctuary.
